In this journal are presented one contributed paper about a knowledge-based infrastructure for the management of diagnostic imaging procedures in the heart failure domain and selected papers form the Sixth International Conference on Mass Data Analysis of Signals and Images in Medicine, Chemistry, Biotechnology and Food Industry MDA 2010 held in July in Berlin. MDA 2010 showed once more that the event is a must for all mass data interpretation specialists from research and industry alike who like to stay informed about hot new topics in mass data analysis of signals and images. This year, papers on 2 general topics in data mining established at this conference over the years were presented. These topics are: Systems and Methods for Mass Data Analysis and Data Mining of Images and Signals. Under the first topic are presented methods for a lot of new automatic systems for image and signal an alysis for various applications such as applications for cheese making industry, medicine, drug discovery, cell biology and biotechnology. Under the second topic were resented new results for knowledge discovery in various fields that will help to built new automatic system for these applications in the future.
