Freddie Hubbard / Louis Armstrong - Double Exposure CD

This CD starts off with three of the four numbers that trumpeter Freddie Hubbard recorded with Eddie Daniels (who sticks to tenor) for a 1969 quintet date for MPS (which also includes pianist Roland Hanna, bassist Richard Davis and drummer Louis Hayes). Heated renditions of "Without a Song" and "Just One of Those Things" (which are almost taken too fast) are played, along with Hubbard's "Blues for Duane." The second half of the CD has seven of the eight numbers previously collected for a Louis Armstrong CD titled Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone.
